The i9000 Prestige Ultra has been an absolute revelation. I love the convenience of an electric shave but my past experience has always taken me back to wet shaving with a manual razor because electric shaves tend to irritate my skin. The i9000 is a different experience altogether. The level of control over settings and the automatic cleaning and moisturising have effectively dealt with the sensitivity problems. I thought the coloured light system to indicate shaving at the correct pressure was a bit gimmicky. However by going along with it I have been able to adjust my shaving technique. I now get a very convenient, very quick, clean shave without any of the downsides. My eclectic mix of manual shaver handles and associated blades have now been confined to the bathroom bin.

I like it and it works really well with shaving foam. The light is really helpful as is the app. The charge indicator is very accurate and the cleaning system works really well

I have always had Phillips shavers for the last 60 years but this one is really good. A very smooth shave even in awkward areas. Est one yet

I was a traditional blade razor user, until i got an infection on my cheeks that made shaving a problem. I invested in a Philips i9000. Whilst the problem didn't do away, shaving has become less of a problem. I can get a good shave, perhaps not as close as my blade razor. I shave every other day and results are very good. I need to clean and sterilise the razor every day, with no ill effect. Overall, a massive improvement to my shaving regime. Thanks

I have owned and used Philips electric shavers for probably 35 years and never considered buying a shaver by any other manufacturer. Once you have used the triple rotating cutter heads I can't see why you would want to change. I particularly like the pressure sensor lights on this model.

A brilliant razor, it's as good as a wet razor. The charging system is great as it keeps its charged.

This shaver is really good! I'll go over what I love about it but to start and probably most importantly for my wife, it's incredibly quiet compared to my old 15 year old model so I don't wake her up in the morning! In all seriousness, it is nice and quiet which is no bad thing. I love the shave it gives too, I've always had sensitive skin and my old Philips shaver was the only one I found that didn't leave me red and blotchy. This one, though arguably harsher as it gives a much closer shave, is actually very good. The first couple of shaves I felt a little sore afterwards but it didn't leave my skin red or blotchy and actually, 20 or so shaves in, I use it on the intensive mode without any problems(I'd always recommend a post shave moisturiser afterwards anyway if you have sensitive skin. The shave, as I say, is the closest I've ever had and I can honestly say I can stroke my face and not feel any remaining stubble. I bought a pack that came with the quick clean pod and I have to say, it's a great idea, actually very simple but very effective at cleaning the shaver and leaving it fresh for the next shave. I usually leave it on the pod for a while after it's done to let the fluid drip off and dry before I put it on charge again. It's lightweight in the hand but feels well built with some rubber to help with grip etc. It definitely feels like a quality shaver. I like it using USB to charge rather than an older shaver plug as most bathrooms these days seem to lack the sockets and it means I place the shaver wherever I like. Over all I'm pleased with the value for money, I did get it significantly cheaper than the RRP on sale which obviously doesn't hurt, but I do feel it's a quality product and I don't regret anything about the product so far and would recommend to anyone looking at getting one.
