HDCP Error message appears when connected to the accessory device using HDMI connection

HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) is a copy-protection. To have picture on the TV, external devices that are connected with DVI and/or HDMI must be equipped with HDCP.

  • Verify that the external device (DVD, set top box, splitter) and the TV have HDCP
  • Verify the connection and switch both devices off and on again
  • Verify that the external device has the latest software version
