Hairclipper series 5000Hair clipper

As I detest long hair, I had to make a plan during the Lockdown, as I cut my hair every two weeks. (Zero on the side and a no1 on top) I initially borrowed another popular hair trimmer that it appears everyone views as the best but was left a bit disappointed. Found the Philips at one of my local stores and due to a damaged box was also marked down. As I have a few other Philips products ( By the way, their electric razors are tops) I jumped at this. AND rechargeable! Well, needless to say I was NOT disappointed. The adjustable comb works perfectly. Only thing I noticed is that this cuts a bit shorter than other razors at the same setting. Most certainly not a negative mind you, just something to keep in mind. Trims very, very well. In fact, so well that I have never been back to my Barber for another haircut as my results with this razor are far superior. Gives a perfect even and smooth trim. Exceptionally easy to use and to adjust and a dream to clean and maintain (Which is rather important to me) It charges very fast (Yet another important aspect for me) and a single charge really lasts a long time. If I have to have a gripe it is the fact that the storage box could have been just a bit better designed. Once the charger cable has been unwound, this just does not fit in properly again. As I don't and never will have any use for the beard comb, that I have put away somewhere and only keep the hair comb and charger in the box, along with the razor of course. But it is still a bit of a squeeze... Box also feels a bit flimsy, especially the locking catch. Mind you, have had no issue in the 9 months I have had this. Most certainly my best buy, alongside the One Blade, for 2020.

I like the blades that never needs sharpening. It's so easy to clean, just rinse under water. The dual speed let you cut faster. Only one adjustable comb, no need to search for other combs. Very lightweight, perfect for self grooming.

When the battery is flat, you can charge and use the product at the same time. This product simply does not wear down, it has worked consistently for more than 4 years and still fees like new!

+ good quality especially the blades, as you would expect from Philips + attachment combs useful + adjustment setting good - not enough combs/sizes - not waterproof
