Alarm Clock radio for iPod/iPhone

I've had it almost one year, I needed something small but I also wanted a big quality sound. This was a great choice I have what I wanted, it's hard to believe with the quality sound it's compact enough to fit anywhere. There hasn't been a day since my purchase that I haven't been completely satisfied with my decision.

A disadvantage of radio is only this, when the iPhone is connected to a channel is not filled, as much as it should be. The battery lasts much less than otherwise to 220v.

I have had this model for about 18months and it has now decided to flash unsupported device whenever i put my iphone 6s in the dock. This results in no charging facility and constant flashing mening the phone has to be removed from the dock completely Is this an issue with iphone 6s or is this a different issue altogether? I wouls be intrigued to know....

The clock radio is pretty good but let down by a poor app for the iPhone. The app keeps saying it does not work when run in the background. This happens even when you sleep the phone. I'm confused. The App also crashes often. Still, ignoring this warning, the clock does still appear to work and the alarm does use the iphone music to slowly get louder waking you up gently. Sound is really good for a clock radio and the device feels solid and well built. Fixing the App will certainly bring a better rating and an unreserved recommendation.

The alarms don't work unless the app is running and the phone permanently switched to the app...shockingly poor - I don't trust this alarm clock any more. Given the price of this clock radio I'd have expected additional features such as DAB. I'm just so, so disapointed with my purchase of this alarm clock.

I received one of these as an 'upgraded' warranty replacement for my DC315/05 which itself was average at best. However the AJ5300D/05 is just plain poor. Each time I place my iPhone on the dock it turns the radio on (not good if my Wife is asleep!). It doesn't support the iPhone 4 properly when docked which is likely to lead to scratches on both. Also as someone else has said it doesn't charge the iPhone 4 despite Philips claiming otherwise. Overall very disappointing and puts me off purchasing other Philips products in the future.
