With Avalon fetal monitoring devices, patients don’t need to be tethered to the bedside. Our system allows patients to experience the benefits of mobility while data is transmitted back to the fetal monitors and the IntelliSpace Perinatal (ISP) information system by connecting to your WLAN system.Stay in touch with, and in control of, your patients’ care virtually anywhere by viewing maternal and fetal heart rate and other vital signs from a mobile device. Busy care teams have easy access to information they need while ISP works in the background to provide a comprehensive clinical record.

Our Avalon CL base station and optional wide range pod offers comfort and flexibility for patients. The Philips Avalon FM20 monitor provides comprehensive external fetal monitoring, as well as optional noninvasive maternal vital signs while the FM30 and FM50 monitors add internal fetal monitoring.
Embrace Mobility and Quality Maternal Care with Confidence
The Avalon beltless maternal and fetal monitoring solution uses the same base station, but is an alternative for patients who would like an extra level of mobility and comfort, and also can be used for patients who have a higher BMI than average. The solution consists of the reusable CL Fetal & Maternal Pod and single-use adhesive patch.
Philips Smart Pulse Technology
Clinicians must closely monitor heart rate in both mother and child during labor and delivery. Philips Smart Pulse technology is a patent-protected feature that can differentiate between maternal pulse and fetal heart rate without the need of an additional sensor like SpO2 and ECG. This technology leverages the Toco MP transducer - its unique design measures both contractions and maternal heart rate. Two sensors integrated into the Toco MP transducer measure maternal pulse, preventing signal ambiguity
