Apply | To ensure fairness and an efficient recruiting process to all applicants, we collect all applications via our Career Center only.

Once you find a job opening that fits your skills and interests, you can apply with your preferred social media profile (i.e. LinkedIn) OR upload your CV/resume. Once your application has been received, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address on file.

Apply tip

It is always a good idea to have an active, up to date LinkedIn profile before applying. This makes the application process easier for you and ensures your submission can be easily found and viewed.

According to LinkedIn, the most appealing candidate profiles:

  • Contain universally used, relevant keywords that describe your experience and skills
  • Promote the purpose and achievements of your current role, highlighting contributions to both the company and the industry.
  • List all previously professional roles and employers in descending order. Each should include a 10-15 line description of key responsibilities and achievements for each experience. A one summary sentence, followed by bullets is the recommended format.
  • Mention education as well as all Honors & Awards, under the role in which they were received. These help you stand out as a top performer, which Philips aims to recruit.

Apply tip

First Assessment | Your application will be reviewed by a Talent Acquisition professional and assessed based on the position requirements and your submitted profile.

If your application is selected, a member of our team will be in touch with you to arrange a telephone or online interview.

If your application is not selected you will receive an email notifying you of this status. Know that we still appreciate your interest in working for Philips and that we respect the time you took to apply. Your resume will remain in our database in case it matches other opportunities in the future. However, for the greatest chances of success we recommend that you submit a separate application for each role you are interested in. You can always request to have your personal information removed by sending an email request to support.careercenter@philips.com.

Interviews

We believe that job interviews should be two-way conversations. Don’t be afraid to ask for clarification in case you have some questions about the job, the team or Philips in general.

First Interview | Your first interview will be with Talent Acquisition, our Recruitment team.
During this first interview, we will want to discuss your background and experience relative to the job which you applied for.  We are also happy to share information with you on the company and understand your short and long term career interests. By doing so, we can suggest a good role match for you at Philips.

Next Interviews | If you are selected for a next round interview, you will meet with the hiring manager and members of his/her team. The exact amount of interviews and who you’ll meet with varies by role, location and hiring manager. We always aim to be respectful of your valuable time, while also ensuring proper due diligence is possible for both parties.

  1. Get to know us | At Philips, we strive to make the world healthier and more sustainable through innovation. Our goal is to improve the lives of 3 billion people a year by 2025 and be the best place to work for people who share our passion. We innovate for people, starting with our own. Our people serve a purpose in the world that is bigger than themselves, and we believe that our company is at its best when our people are at theirs. We invite you to check out our Innovation + You  Stories and Case Studies, and our employee blog for more insights.  There are also many articles, videos, and other content assets on the web which you should be able to find quite quickly.

  2. Just be you | The interview process is the time for us to get to know each other.  What your values are, what strengths you have, what goals you are aiming towards, etc. The best way to tell if there is a strong match is if both parties are authentic throughout the interview process. So speak honestly, sincerely, and show your personality. (HINT: Showing passion for what you do helps! At Philips we are not just looking for employees. We are looking for passionate people who get energized by the opportunity to help make life better for billions of people worldwide!)

  3. Ask Away | We understand you are in the process of making a decision that will significantly impact your and / or your family’s life. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions that are important for your own evaluation. Some common questions we get are if Philips encourages employees to get involved in the community outside of work, if and how we develop our people, the details behind our mission/vision and what types of career experiences one can expect while working for Philips. You can use these topics as inspiration for your questions or feel free to develop your own list!

Decisions

Decisions and selection

Selection | After your final round of interviews, there is a short internal debrief meeting held between all interviewers and the recruiter. This is to ensure all evaluations and experiences are heard before making the important final decision. The decision is then shared with you as the candidate as soon as possible.

If you are selected for the position, your recruiter will contact you to verbally discuss the terms of your job offer and a potential start date. After this verbal discussion, you will then receive written documentation that includes your complete job offer details and instructions for confirming your acceptance (we hope). Your recruiter will be available to answer any questions or further requests you may have to finalize the recruitment process and start to plan for a fresh start!

If you are not selected for the position, your recruiter will share this information with you as well as a professional courtesy and in acknowledgement of your time and interest in Philips.  We then also keep your resume in our database in case it matches other opportunities in the future. However, for the greatest chances of success we recommend that you submit a separate application for each role you are interested in. You can always request your personal information be removed from our database by sending an email request to support.careercenter@philips.com.
